The Cast

4M, 2W, 6+Ensemble

Yeti or Not, at its heart, is a character-driven adventure that balances heartfelt storytelling with humor and imagination. Each principal role offers strong acting and vocal opportunities, from the grounded realism of the office to the spiritual wonder of the wilderness.

The Ensemble

A vibrant group of 6+ performers who bring Yeti or Not to life from every angle: they open the show, populate Henry’s office, ride the Greyhound bus, and fill the bar with laughter and song. More than background voices, the ensemble embodies the pulse of Henry’s world, shifting seamlessly between comedy, movement, and harmony. Each performer gets moments to shine as part of the story’s rhythm, humor, and heart.

Henry

(Male, Late 20s/30s)

Quiet. Funny in that dry, don’t-look-too-close way. He’s spent most of his life trying to forget the day he lost his dad, and what he might have seen in the woods right after. He doesn’t believe in much anymore, least of all himself. But somewhere under all that numbness is a kid who once felt awe. And maybe still could.
Vocal Range: Tenor / Baritenor – strong contemporary sound.

Bigfoot

(Male, Timeless)

He’s the spiritual father figure and the living embodiment of what Henry has been searching for: connection, courage, and truth. Wise as he is old, funny in his dryness, and unexpectedly grounded, Bigfoot speaks and sings like anyone else. His otherness isn’t in how he talks, but in what he knows.
Voal Range: Baritone or bass

Jenny

(Female, 20s-30s)

She’s sharp, composed, and used to being underestimated. She works with Henry, and there’s something between them, unspoken but obvious. Jenny had kept her life tight, predictable, and safe. Until she realized safe wasn’t the same as okay.

Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano; Indie-pop influence

Chip

(Male, 40s-60s)

A survivalist with a camera, a gun, and something broken deep inside. Years ago, he claimed to find Bigfoot, but no one believed him. Now he’s built an audience and a mission to prove he was right, no matter the cost. He’ll twist the truth, burn bridges, and leave bodies in his wake.
Vocal Range: Character Tenor / Baritone

Mom

(Female, 40s-60s)

Pragmatic yet compassionate. Anchors Henry emotionally while delivering humor and heart.
Vocal Range: Alto / Mezzo

Dad

(Male, 30s-40s)

Henry’s late father. He's loving, adventurous, and filled with wisdom. What he lacks in stage time, he makes up for in presence and emotional weight.
Vocal Range: Baritone/Tenor – warm, emotional tone

Yeti or Not Story

How Yeti or Not Started

Sean and Brandon have been writing together since college — sketch comedy, screenplays, songs, kids books — basically anything that would make each other laugh (or cry).

In 2023, just days after Sean’s first son was born, Brandon pitched him on the idea of a Bigfoot musical. Sean, equal parts sleep-deprived and skeptical, passed.

A week later, Sean came back with a title, a demo, and the kind of conviction only a new dad running on four hours of sleep could muster.

Soon after, they roped in their college buddy and composer-extraordinaire Derek, and the three of them set off on a wild creative sprint fueled by way too many video calls, roundtrip flights between Austin and Nashville, and a medically inadvisable amount of coffee.

That’s how Yeti or Not was born — a musical that’s fun, hopeful, and maybe even just a little legendary.

Yeti

About the Story

Yeti or Not is a new comedy musical about grief, belief, and Bigfoot. When a young man finds his late father's mysterious map, he leaves the city behind and heads into the woods, chasing a myth, a memory, and something real. It’s funny, human, a little weird, and ultimately hopeful.
